Before the site was the Intermountain Indian
School, it was Bushnell General Army Hospital for 4 years during WWII,
beginning in 1943. During that time only about 93 patients died in the
hospital due to disease or injuries sustained during combat. After WWII the
property was transferred to the Department of the Interior and by 1950 the
Intermountain Indian School was formed. Other than a minor riot in 1975,
which resulted in 3 police officers being injured, there are no other traumatic
events or deaths at the location while it was a school.
In 1984 the school closed and has been vacant ever
since. Now most of it has been torn down to build Utah State extensions.
A variety of paranormal phenomena have been reported.
Paranormal investigators have been able to capture numerous EVP's (electronic voice phenomena) and other
paranormal evidence at the Intermountain Indian School.
Some Brigham City locals believe that the tunnels
built during World War II connecting the buildings underground were used for
satanic blood filled rituals. It is verified by police there is some sort
of human activity and they warn not to go up there. In addition there are an
enormous amount of cold spots located in both buildings.
Windows
break out, the ghosts or whatever throw things at you, if you take a recorder
you can hear voices and doors will shut and open, there are bangs all around
and there is blood in one of the bathrooms in one of the buildings.
